Dr Ann Marie Mealey is a distinguished ethicist, academic, and educational leader whose work sits at the compelling intersection of ethics, values, faith, and contemporary society. Currently serving as Trust Relationship Officer for the Archdiocese of Southwark, she brings to this role a wealth of experience accumulated across higher education, research, and strategic leadership.

Formerly Associate Professor and Director of Catholic Mission at Leeds Trinity University, Ann Marie achieved a landmark distinction in the sector by designing and leading the very first institutional mission strategy for a faith-based university in the United Kingdom. She has also held the position of Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching within the private sector, demonstrating the breadth and versatility of her leadership capabilities.A prolific scholar, Ann Marie has published extensively across her field, including full monographs on ethics, morality, and values-led learning and teaching, as well as an edited volume on social justice. Her innovative research has earned international recognition: her work has been featured in the official communiqués of the Values 20 (V20) group in two consecutive cycles — a community of global leaders and practitioners who seek to shape the policy agenda of the G20. She is currently completing a new monograph exploring the significance of ethics, mission, and values in education from multiple perspectives.
Ann Marie is also a member of the national working group at the Catholic Education Service (CES) contributing to the design of the mission directory for over 2,000 Catholic schools across the United Kingdom. Her podcast, ‘Beyond the Dark Clouds’, has attracted an international audience, convening diverse voices from around the world to engage with the pressing ethical questions facing society today.
A sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, she regularly contributes to public discourse through her writing for Yorkshire Bylines, addressing ethical dimensions of education, business, and civic life.
